11 Dec 2011;  Brett asks for a portrait of his girlfriend, Megan in his lap.  Megan embraces Brett just as Brett is about to be reminded that he’s not permitted to be in Megan’s room after 10 PM.  From 1979 to 2003, the prevalence of Down Syndrome (DS) at birth increased by 31 percent, from 9 to 12 per 10,000 live births in 10 US regions.  Several studies conclude that between 86% and 92% of women decided to abort their pregnancy if their prenatal tesing confirmed Down Syndrome.  As a result, today sees a drastic decline in the number of Down Syndrome cases in America, raising concern over the future of funding and government support for future cases of Down Syndrome.
